AEROBATIC ENDORSEMENTAerobatics is the ultimate in controlling an aircraft. It places high emphasis in setting accurate attitudes and being able to control the aircraft in all stages of flight. Learning Aerobatics is one of the most enjoyable avenues in aviation and the skills learnt will ultimately return to you by way of enjoying ALL flying by feeling more confident and more "in command" of any aircraft.Phase one, the initial endorsement, will cover the basics and will be the largest leap in confidence you will ever experience. This first phase also covers mishandling techniques and recovery from unusual attitudes. Aerobatics is not only great fun, but it's also important in developing recovery techniques in emergency situations and that in itself makes it more than worthwhile. The ultimate insurance in aviation is, superior skill and that makes for a far safer and more competent pilot. Phase two is a selection of more advanced manoeuvres which culminates in aerobatic sequences. This phase is for those who wish to learn more daring manoeuvres and later perhaps become active in Aerobatic Competitions. During Aerobatic training the "deck" (the lowest level) is at 3000ft. At the conclusion of this phase, if competition standard is reached, you may apply for the C.A.S.A. Aerobatic Low Level Endorsement. Phase three consists of additional manoeuvres, which are learnt individually as you gain experience. Phase 1 can be performed in either the classic Tiger Moth (DH-82A) or the high performance or YAK 52. If continuing to phases 2 & 3 training in ththe YAK 52 will be required. Phase 1 can also cover Tail Wheel Endorsements. PHASE 1 Aerobatics in the YAK 52 or Tiger Moth DH-82A includes:
FORMATION FLYING ENDORSEMENTFormation flying is one of the most satisfying and demanding aspects of flying. It's also very challenging and exciting because you will fly only a few meters away from one, two, or maybe even three other aircraft at over 200 kph.If you've ever been inspired by formation teams like the RAAF Roulettes, this course could suit you! Even simply going on a short trip to the training area makes the flight much more interesting in flying "off the wing" of a fellow pilot. After the first flight you will feel your flying improving remarkably. Average hours Flown by Students in the Skipper BE77:
